Indian actress Sagarika Ghatge was born on 8th January in the year 1982 to veteran actor Vijayendra Ghatge in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. As a child she went to Chatrapati Shahu Vidyalaya located in Kolhapur up to the 8th standard. Then then shifted to Rajasthan to complete her 10th and 12th standard from Mayo College Girls School, Ajmer. She pursued her college from HR College in Mumbai. Sagarika is the descendant of the royal dynasty of the Holkars of Indore. They have a huge family background.
Sagarika Ghatge has done the Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting training program and have completed it successfully. She received many offers for TV commercials and ad films during her college life but her father never entertained those till she completed her graduation. She was a good hockey player in her college life and subsequently bagged a role as Preeti Sabharwal, in the hit movie ‘Chak De India’ starring Shahrukh Khan. She played the role of a hockey player of the Indian National Women’s Hockey Team in the movie and the outstanding performance and stunning personality made her the face of Reebok India soon. Sagarika Ghatge also have done photo shoots for many fashion magazines.
